We are moving across Canada as learners to a new area of the country, the easter provinces or the Maritimes. In particular we will be learning about the province of Nova Scotia, and the town of Meteghan. As we learn about this part of Canada, we will be comparing it to the quality of life, landscape, animals, weather, and people that we learned about while we studied Nunavut. We will be learning about the present quality of life and learn about the history of the people in Nova Scotia, focusing on Acadian communities. All of our inquiry questions, learning, and work will continue to be connected to our larger grade two community question: what is the story with water? Focusing on how water in the form of oceans, seas, lakes, rivers, and weather shape and influence the quality of life in Eastern Canada.
We are excited to learn more about Canada! Comments are closed.
